Class Description Price
Studio Lighting 101 Class

Lighting 101 will cover the basic concepts and techniques needed to get started in studio flash photography. We will cover lighting gear basics, characteristics of light and how to control and modify light. We will start with various types of single light sources and learn how to create the right quality of light to take your photography to the next level. This class provides hands–on opportunities to shoot a model using the lighting set-ups covered.

This class is 3 hours and includes classroom instruction, hands-on shooting, and one-on-one coaching. Portrait model and studio lighting gear is provided.

Studio Lighting 102 Class

Lighting 102 will introduce multi-light concepts and techniques needed for more advanced studio flash photography. We will leverage all the control and modification techniques used in the 101 class and apply them to creating a layered approach to building the perfect quality of light for a studio photograph. Lighting 102 expands on concepts covered in the light 101 class (recommended prerequisite). This class provides hands–on opportunities to shoot a model using the lighting set-ups covered.

 

This class is 3 hours and includes classroom instruction, hands-on shooting, and one-on-one coaching. Portrait model and studio lighting gear is provided.

Speedlight Mojo 101 Class

Small battery powered portable flashes, or Speedlights, are capable of replacing studio strobes in many situations. In this workshop you will learn how to connect and position speedlights, as well as, how to modify their light to produce professional results. This is a hands-on workshop (class), so bring your camera and speedlight (if you have one).

Recommended Equipment:

  • Camera with Hot Shoe or PC sync port (required)
  • Speedlight or other shoe mount flash (recommended)
  • Off camera sync cable (recomended)

This class is 3 hours and includes classroom instruction, hands-on shooting, and one-on-one coaching. Lighting gear is provided.

Studio Lighting LAB

The LightMojo Studio Lighting LAB provides an opportunity for Lighting 101 and 102 students (or equivelent) to get additional hands on shooting time in the studio with a model. This session is limited to 10 person including the instructors to allow everyone plenty of opportunity to shoot, work with lighting gear, and receive 1 on 1 coaching as desired. Come shoot with the LightMojo instructors and develop your skill while building out your portfolio.

This session is a 3 hour hand on shoot session. Portrait model and studio lighting gear is provided.

Lighting Workshop

The Lighting Workshop (aka Advanced Lighting Workshops) are hands on sessions that are led by the LightMojo instructors. Each Advanced Workshop will offer a unique combination of shooting situations, lighting setups, model, and wardrobe. Be a part of setting up, fine tuning, and shooting the model with several studio lighting configurations.

Gain studio and field experience, build on your portfolio, and take advantage of the small group setting to get 1on1 coaching from the LightMojo Instructors.


This workshop is 3 hours and limieted to 8 participants. It includes includes hands-on shooting, and one-on-one coaching. Portrait model and studio lighting gear is provided.

Figure Study Workshop The Figure Study Workshop is a combination of classroom education and hand-on photography of nude figure models. Studio lighting equipment and figure study model are provided. This will be and instructor lead workshop where you learn by doing. Several instructors will be available to answer questions and provide coaching as needed.

This is an 4 hr workshop. Soft drinks are provided.
Must be 18 or older to attend.

Figure Study Photo Shoot The Figure Study Photo Shoot is focused on model shooting. It is designed to help you build your portfolio buy providing you the opportunity to photograph experienced nude figure models, using studio light, in a professional environment. Several instructors will be available to answer questions and provide coaching as needed.

 This is an 4 hr workshop. Soft drinks are provided.
Must be 18 or older to attend.		 $95
